AUTUMN BREEZE (1) closed off his last run at Kurow in great style when finishing second by a neck as the favourite just over a fortnight ago. He has a superior gate here and can go one better. TAIMATE STAAR (9) is heading the right way with her form and has needed time to mature. She has been placed twice over this trip, and should be right in the finish again, especially with the in-form Kylie Williams keeping the faith. PRIVATE TREATY (7) can mix his form, but his last start second at Ashburton gives him a chance in this, and AVIVA (8) is another long time maiden with top 4 claims in this.
