Perfectly placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. BURDEKIN (3) hit the frame two starts ago at Mckinlay but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 9 lengths over 1000m at Alpha. This is a nice drop in grade so he is one of the main contenders. FANAAR (6) got well back over 1050m at Mackay last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 6 lengths away in ninth. Finds a more suitable contest and can take this out. GRAND DE LAGO (2) produced a reasonable effort when second last start over 1400m at Clermont. That followed a win at Moranbah the start prior. Should be thereabouts.
