HEDONIST (6) struggled in town at the start of this prep so dropped back to a BM64 over this trip at Terang last but was no match for the winner. Rock hard fit and from a nice draw gets the perfect run. Not a great deal of depth to this race and he has more upside than most of his opponents. SMART RETURN (14) failed to quicken as hoped under a big weight at Warrnambool recently. Draws the fence and while up in class gets some weight relief and can figure in the outcome. SIMPLY SPARKLEZ (9) has been freshened up since a disappointing effort over 1300m at Ararat five weeks ago. Goes well at this trip - expect a better performance. DRY FIRE (11) can improve on a modest effort at Wangaratta last time. Last start Terang maiden winner WATCH CAPITAL (12) has only been to the races twice so there is plenty more to come.
