Draws a soft gate and should relish the step-up to the mile. Maloney replaced Thompson, who stays with stablemate KURITHEA (5), who was beaten a nose over 1400m at the Gold Coast first up as a $4.5 favourite. Presents fitter and has raced well over this trip. SATURDAYS GIRL (3) just missed at Ballina over a sprint and this trip suits much better. Has a senior jockey aboard today and third-up she can make the finish. FRENCH RIVIERA (2) spotted them a big start at Coffs Harbour over 1305m but had been narrowly beaten at Lismore and the Gold Coast the two before.
