BITTER SPIRIT (8) is knocking on the door with two recent placings, the latest a second-place finish over 1609m at Townsville 10 days ago. He drops 3kg in weight here, and he will again be hard to hold out. BE BOB ALOOLA (7) came from well back to score impressively by nearly 2 lengths over 1615m at Emerald last start.
