BIRDWOOD FRANKY (8) gave a start after copping a check in running and missed the frame when a 21 length sixth (31.73) at Angle Park in a Grade 6. Has good speed and will be prominent from out wide. Better than last start and can bounce back. QUINCE BALE (7) has been in the frame at her last two runs, most recently when third (31.15) in a Grade 6 over 531m at this track. Solid beginner and with a good start should have clear running out wide. Well placed here and should do much better. FEDERAL LADY (1) was out of the money at this circuit last start but can turn the form around.
