PEARLS IN JUNE (11) produced an eye-catcher when second-up last time out, coming from next to last on the bend to finish third over 1200m at this circuit. Finished fourth at the same stage last prep over today's trip but is more furnished now. Ready to peak. ASTERN EFFORT (1) has recorded five straight minor placings, the latest over 1350m at Doomben in a strong form race. Awkwardly drawn but hard to rule out on those recent efforts.
