The Meadows Race 8

Great Chase Semi Final 4 (1-5 Wins)

Prize Money: $9,055

CORBAN YAXLEY (2) was a slick 25.28 winner of a Restricted WIN H at Ballarat last start. In form and looks the one to beat again. PURE SILK (6) comes off a (25.31) win last time, scoring by half a length in a Restricted WIN H over 450m at Ballarat. Yet to taste defeat in three runs from this draw. Looks well placed here and among the chances. WORD GETS AROUND (5) has a strong winning strike-rate over this journey with two wins and a placing from four tries. Placed last time (28.69) at Bendigo in a Restricted WIN H, finishing second and beaten 4 lengths. Looks one of the chances. ASTON COMMANDER (3) has not raced here but still warrants respect.

Won two starts back after racing on the pace at Sandown over 515m in 29.72. Followed that up with a minor placing over 460m at Warragul at Restricted WIN H a week-and-a-half ago. Top-three hope with the right run.
