Plainridge Racecourse Race 8

1609m

Prize Money: $17,960

WENDELL BLUE CHIP (4) has been racing well of late. Finished second at his latest appearance over 1609m at this track, beaten 0.6 metres. Good enough to win a race of this calibre. POPPY WOW (5) finished third last start over 1609m at this track, beaten 5 metres, after a good win at this track the run prior. Meets a comparable field and she can bounce back to winning form. SAINT STEPHENS (3) is in the mix following a sixth at his most recent appearance over 1609m at this track. VALYRIAN STEEL (2) disappointed last time but is a chance based on a good win over 1609m at Bangor Raceway two runs back.

Ran well last start showing plenty of improvement following October 1 run. Last start won by 4.5 m (Fr2) at this track (1:54.40) beating He Hunts in TRK<79 on October 8 at $6. This race will be harder than that win. Hard to have.

Failed to impress last start; 9th (Fr7) over 1609m at this track, beaten 35 m by Bill Bauer (1:54.20) in NW4000CD on September 24 at $42.20. Showed ability the run before when he posted a big 8 m win as favourite (Fr7) at Bangor Raceway (2:01.40) beating Twoscoopsforjack in NW3000L4CD on September 12 at $2.30. Capable of more than he has shown recently. Respect.

Two back was beaten by 6 m finishing fourth behind Jeffrey Neil at this track over 1609m in a W2-5PMLTCD on October 1 at $14.30. Then a handy effort when a close second behind Grateful at this track over 1609m in a NW4000CD on October 8 at $4.50. Definite winning chance.
