Globe Derby Race 2

2026 Alabar Sa Botra Golden Nursery (Heat 2) (Sky 2)

Prize Money: $8,000

RANKINE (8) scored two runs back then registered an effortless win last time out, scoring by 9 metres over 1790m at Mildura. No harm in drawing here with the sprint lane to rely upon. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. LAMBRO LOUELLA (1) settled handy then took control and found plenty to score narrowly over 1700m at Horsham a week-and-a-half ago. No excuses from this advantageous draw. Must raise the bar but she has the ability to test this field. SOUTH AUSSIE STAR (4) is a great chance after a string of sound recent performances, the latest a solid third at this track over 1800m. Hard to find fault. JADES REASON (3) cannot be left out after solid recent performances, the latest a sound fourth at this track over 1800m.

Solid run when a close second behind One Aussie at this track over 1800m in a 2yo on September 12 at $8. Then a handy effort when well beaten into third after a quick start, behind Leviosa at this track over 1800m in a 2yo on September 26 at $1.55. Sure to be in the mix.

Expected Settling Position: Leader

Brings the right form to the table. Won by 9 m as favourite when quickly away, (Fr5) at Mildura (2:11.60) beating Priddy Carson in on October 6 at $1.55 at the bell was leading 4.2. Two runs back posted a big 4.5 m win as favourite (Fr2) at this track (2:16.60) beating Buildthemanastatue in 2yo on September 26 at $1.55. Big chance with any luck from the draw.
