Sandown Park Race 3

MEPUNGA PHANTOM (2) is yet to miss the placings in an excellent record this trip which boasts four wins and two placings. Recorded a 5 length win (30.68) in a Grade 4/5 last time at Ballarat. Appeals as a leading chance in this. HOUSE OF SINS (6) is an accomplished stayer with a great record at the longer races. Was too tough when scoring last time over 660m at Bendigo in a Mix 4/5 FIN (37.68). Hard to go past form here at this journey. In sparkling form and expected to measure up again. MISTER RICO (1) slowly into stride off the rails but wound up into the minor place when a 2.75 lengths third (30.31) at The Meadows in Grade 5. Won at his only start from this draw. Can measure up. SPRING VICTORIA (5) is worth a look despite no experience at this trip.

Hit the ground running and set it up early last time, clocking 30.68 with a 5 length win at Ballarat over 545m and making it back to back wins. Solid formlines coming through that last run. Looks a major player.

Talented type with an excellent strike rate at this journey. Has been prominent in the run and duly saluted at his last couple, most recently over 660m at Bendigo in a handy 37.68 beating Paw Quinby. Strong form emerging from the that last run. Leading chance.
