TOUCH OF THUNDER (1) maps as the one to beat from barrier 1, coming off a Bursa win over 1200 on 2 Oct and a prior Istanbul 1600 win on 9 Sep, and he’s 2:1-0-1 at this trip with strong local stats. GIRALAMO (5) is consistent and fits the grade, placing 3rd at Istanbul 1500 on 11 Oct after a pair of 1400 placings, and draws barrier 4. BLIZZARD (3) brings recent speed form with a 2nd at Istanbul 1200 on 7 Oct and draws well in 2, but rises 400m. JOYFUL FOREVER (2) is on a short turnaround after 18 Oct and has a prior Istanbul 1600 2nd on 16 Aug, but recent results are mixed.

Comments

Arrives in form with two wins from his past two, including a 1600m 3Y COND9 at Istanbul on 9 Sep under H Karataş and a 1200m success at Bursa three weeks ago. Returns to 1600m where he’s (2:1-0-1) and draws barrier 1, aligning with a strong low-draw profile (barriers 1-3: 5:3-0-1). With a solid Istanbul record (6:2-2-1), he maps to get every chance from the inside.

Back to 1200m after two 1400m runs, he improved to 2nd at Istanbul 16 days ago in a 3Y HCP from barrier 2, carrying 56.5kg. Earlier in the prep he won a 1200m 3UP HCP at Bursa on GOOD going and has placed twice at Istanbul. With a soft draw again and solid this-season returns (4:1-1-0), he profiles to be competitive.

Comments

Consistent at Istanbul with a solid track record (17:3-5-3) and strong returns from low draws, having gone 2-5-2 from barriers 1-3. Recent form includes 2nd over 1500m in a 3UP HCP on Jul 29 (52kg) and 2nd over 1400m on Aug 14 (59.5kg), before a 4th and 5th at 1400m and a 7th of 7 at 1500m 12 days ago. Back to barrier 3 and a slight distance lift to 1500m could help him settle and produce closer to his earlier efforts.

Comments

Best recent effort came over this track and trip on 5 Jun, finishing 3rd of 6 in TB grade with 58kg from barrier 6 behind Dire Wolf and Silent Treatment. Returns off a 63-day break with the same rider who was aboard for that 1600m placing, and draws barrier 6 again. Istanbul record (6:1-0-1) and the 1600m/track combo placing suggest a competitive showing if he runs to that peak.
