REDWOOD HANOVER (2) has had three runs this campaign and is yet to finish in the top three. Added to the sequence last time over 1609m at this track, finishing 7 metres away from the winner in sixth. Has the benefit of a good draw. This should be an easier assignment so he is sure to prove tough to beat. MESSAGE BANK A (4) scored a authoritative win when fresh from a layoff last time out over 1609m at this track on October 20, finishing 4.5 metres ahead of his rivals. That latest effort is good enough to put him right in the finish. STRIKEM N (3) is one of the main contenders after winning his past two starts, the latest at this track a week ago. Difficult to ignore that sort of form. BETTOR BY SEASIDE (5) has been about the mark of late and must be respected, the latest offering a sound fourth at this track over 1609m.
