Comments

Worked into this campaign with a fifth in an Open over 1400m at this track last start, beaten five and a half lengths by Sun Moon Stars after being sent out at big odds. His debut sixth in a CRM was plain, but he is fitter third-up and drops into a Restricted race for a leading trainer. The return to 1250m is a small query off one unplaced try at the trip, yet the class relief gives him a solid winning platform.

Has shown enough in two starts to remain a genuine threat, finishing fourth on debut before a fifth at this track when beaten just over five lengths by Navarre Crown. He was again at generous odds, so the market has not strongly found him, but he is now third-up and should be ready to produce his best run. The Loyalty Banker's form line has to be reversed, though he still profiles as a live winning chance.

Expected Settling Position: Midfield

Produced his best run on debut when third at this track behind Strategise, beaten a length and a half despite starting at big odds. He was not as effective next time, finishing sixth and beaten eight lengths by Navarre Crown, and that race also left him behind Loyalty Banker's and Mega Universe. His place strike from two runs keeps him in the mix, but the winning case is less compelling.

Comments

Comes off a last placing in a Class 5 over 1020m at this track, beaten over 17 lengths by Fa Fa Star after starting at long odds. The run prior was even weaker, finishing ninth and beaten out of sight behind Navarre Crown. The class drop and weight relief are clear positives, but he is unplaced from two previous tries around 1250m and must lift sharply to make the minors.

Has been safely held in recent runs, finishing eighth at this track last start when beaten over 13 lengths by Navarre Crown and unwanted in the market. The start prior was also plain, running second last behind Strategise after starting at long odds. He remains unplaced from four starts at this track and distance, so a much stronger finish is required against these.

Was soundly beaten on debut at this track, finishing second last behind Navarre Crown and effectively out of contention after being unwanted in the market. He has just the one race start to work from, so natural second-up improvement is possible, but the first effort left plenty to find. His track and distance records are still unplaced, which keeps him in the cautious camp.

Made a very modest debut at this track, finishing last and tailed off behind Navarre Crown after being unwanted in the market. The pedigree has some substance as a half-brother to Listed winner Shanghai Master, but that background has to be balanced against what he showed under race conditions. He is still lightly raced, yet a major step forward is required before he can be trusted.

Made the right sort of debut at this track, finishing second to Navarre Crown and beaten two and a half lengths after being near the top of betting. He has already placed at both the venue and distance, and that performance gives him a direct edge over Mega Universe from the same race. With a leading jockey and trainer combination behind him, he brings the strongest exposed form and looks the one to beat.

Debuts from barrier one with a 1kg apprentice claim and comes from a leading trainer, so there are a couple of practical positives before he races. The stable has placed with its only supplied debut runner, but there is no exposed race form for this gelding and his siblings were generally only fair first time out. Market confidence would help, otherwise race experience may tell against him.

Starts his career for a leading trainer and gets a 3kg apprentice claim, which gives him some assistance on debut. The stable debut record supplied is modest, with two placings from 13 starts and no winners, and there is no sibling race evidence to strengthen the case. He may have longer-term upside, but this looks a difficult starting point without exposed form.
