Globe Derby Race 3

2026 Bellmoure Park Stud 3yo Pacing Colts & Geldings Southern Cross Series (Heat 1)

Prize Money: $8,000

HEZ SO ROYAL (5) has recorded three wins and two minor placings from the past five starts. Was again a dominant force last start when he scored over 2230m at this track, getting home by 8 metres. This is a nice drop in class so he is sure to prove tough to beat again. LE GASTON (7) was out of the money last start when 11 metres from the winner in fifth over 2240m at Melton. Best form reference might be his win at Cranbourne four starts back. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of sharp improvement. STEAM MACHINE (3) is looking to improve on his last-start eighth behind Luvtobeuptome at Listed level over 2230m at this track two weeks ago. Should enjoy a lovely run and looks hard to beat. OAKLANDER (2) is worth some thought based on his third over 1800m at this track two runs ago.

Didn't do much last start, 10th (Sr2) over 1800m at this track, beaten 30 m by Captain Paprika (2:13.20) on October 26 at $61. Before that was well back in the run when 6th (Fr2) over 2070m at Gawler was 5th-8.6 at the bell, beaten 15 m by Whenimready (2:33.50) in 3yo+ on October 14 at $51. This looks a far sterner task.

Expected Settling Position: Off Pace

Failed to impress last start; surrendered the lead and finished 8th (Fr1) over 2230m after showing early pace at this track beaten 55 m by Luvtobeuptome (2:39.00) in 3yo LR on October 24 at $19. Showed ability the run before when he posted a big 5 m win when quickly away, (Fr4) at this track (2:44.40) beating Seaside Show in 3yo on October 17 at $34 at the bell was leading 2.4. Can bounce back.
