Istanbul Race 6

AMMAYAMAN (1) appeals most; strong Istanbul/1500m profile with 3 wins from 4 at the trip and unbeaten in two with this rider offsets the first-up query under 60kg. MR ÇIRAK (6) is a key danger after a last-start 1st over 1500m here and boasts consistent local figures, including 1 win and a 2nd from recent 1500m runs. MAKE A FIRE (4) has the seasoned Istanbul record and scored over this track and trip two starts back, holding form with a last-start 3rd. CAPTAIN FANTASTIC (2) is capable back to 1500m, having finished 2nd here at the trip in July and owning deep course-and-distance stats, but the latest 8th raises a small query; marginal lean to AMMAYAMAN (1).

Comments

First up after around six months, and Ammayaman has been potent at 1500m at Istanbul with a dominant record (4:3-0-0) including back‑to‑back wins here on 11 Apr and 1 May. Recent form reads well with won 3 of last 5. H. Karataş sticks and knows the circuit. Proven set-up suggests he’s well placed to run to his best at this trip.

Comments

Proven at Istanbul 1500m with a solid (13:3-4-3) record and overall (33:7-10-4) at the track. Forgive the 8th of 8 over 2000m on 9 Oct; the drop back to 1500m looks a better fit, having run 2nd of 7 here over this trip on 12 Jul. Stays in the same grade and maps as a consistent chance off recent form of placed in 3 of last 5.

Placed in 2 of last 3, suggesting the preparation is holding together. Last time at Istanbul over 1500m on GOOD he finished 9th of 10, so this track and trip are familiar. Stays in the same grade and retains F. Çetinbaş. Genuine place claims if reproducing his recent better efforts.

Comments

Draws the inside and brings solid figures, with 8 wins and 3 thirds from 18 on good ground. Placed in 2 of last 3 and owns a 1500m record of (3:1-0-1), which reads well for this trip. Last start at Ankara over 1400m on good was 5th of 5, but the soft gate could help offset that. Metal Heart maps to get favours from barrier 1 and has the right profile to be competitive at 1500m.
