Back after six weeks following a sound debut second at Hanshin in NEWCOMER grade, where he worked home evenly and was beaten two and a half lengths by Nero Noir in a 14-runner race. He was at generous odds there, so the effort had merit, and barrier 1 gives Cristian Demuro the option to have him closer in the run. The class drop into Mdn company helps, and he shapes as a genuine place chance with some upside.

Comments

Was safely held on debut at this track, finishing sixth of eight over 1800m and beaten six and a half lengths after being unwanted in the market. She was only fair through the line, so the first attempt at around 2000m is a legitimate query. The move from NEWCOMER to Mdn grade offers some relief and she is entitled to learn from the outing, but she has to find sharper closing quality to threaten the main chances.

Comments

Returns from a two-month freshening after finishing fifth at Hanshin Dirt over 1800m, beaten seven and a half lengths when she lacked a change of gears in the run home. Her previous run at Chukyo was also plain, giving away a big start and never getting into the race at big odds. Race fitness third-up is the positive, but 2000m is new and she will have to lift to turn that into a placing.

Narrowly missed on debut at this track, finishing second and beaten a neck after being pipped at the post in a five-runner NEWCOMER. She was near the top of betting, has already placed at this distance and stays in a suitable Mdn with Kohei Matsuyama and Haruki Sugiyama both strong local positives. The beaten-favourite tag is only a minor note; her exposed form sets a clear winning standard.

Finished last of eight on debut at Tokyo, beaten over 14 lengths after conceding a huge start and never getting into the race. He was at big odds there and now backs up quickly, which is another query given how little he showed. The drop from NEWCOMER to Mdn grade is a small help, but he remains unplaced at this distance and must show a lot more to trouble these.

Comments

Closed nicely into third on debut at this track over 1800m, beaten a length and a half by Danon Cantabile after being near the top of an open market. As a ¥209m purchase with a sharp first run, he has clear scope to progress, though he has not raced at around 2000m before. The class drop into Mdn grade is in his favour, and he looks the main danger if the extra ground suits.
