Romford Bags Race 2

20th September 1931 - First Meeting At The Current London Road Site

Prize Money: $1,190

BONVILLE SECRET (6) did a good job to finish third last time out over 277m at Central Park (17.02) in a OR, the second top-three finish on the trot. Better than latest and can atone here. MOVE OVER HARRY (4) has a strong overall record having seven wins and 10 places from 24 starts including a last start second (30.26) over 500m at Hove. Form at the trip sound including two wins. Best form too dangerous to ignore. Have to include. DEELISH JACK (2) was midfield throughout and finished there last time when 4th (24.88) at this track. Was a winner at his only start from this draw. Better than the latest run and deserves another chance. KEVINSFORT AWAY (3) is worth a look over a shorter journey this time.

Could only manage fifth last time out over 491m at Central Park, adding to some plain results of late. Cannot enthuse on this occasion.

Comments

Started big odds last time but hit the ground running with a sensational early split, giving a sight but fading out of it to finish fourth (24.88) at this track over 400m. Is a danger.

In the money two back then disappointed when he finished last over 500m at Hove beaten 5 lengths (30.01) behind Sussex Villan in an A2 on September 5. Racing well and has to be included.

Followed a minor placing at Hove two runs ago with a sound second, beaten 5 lengths, last start in an A4 at Hove over 500m (30.26). Consistent performer who is clearly the one to beat.
